PhD Programme in Translation Studies

The PhD programme in Translation Studies comprises both interpreting and translation studies. The programme was established in 2011 at Stockholm University, and the Institute for Interpreting and Translation Studies at the Department of Swedish and Multilingualism is the sole place of education in Sweden to offer this programme.

Vacancies for postgraduate studies are announced when financially possible. When available, they are advertised twice a year on the University and Institute web sites, 15 March and 15 September. Deadlines for applications are 15 April and 15 October.

For PhD students: Bilingualism from an educational perspective, 7.5 credits

The course Tvåspråkighet i undervisningsperspektiv/Bilingualism from an educational perspective will be taught in term C–D for PhD students along with the Master course (CT8040), starting in November. Lecturer is Professor Christopher Stroud, Centre for Research on Bilingualism.
