    About us

    The Institute for Interpreting and Translation Studies offers programmes and courses in translation studies at the bachelor's as well as the master's level. All programmes are conducted with Swedish as the target or the source language.

    Summer Office Hours

    The Department is closed on 23 June – 6 August. Our student offices/student counsellors have specific summer office hours.

    "The interpreter can't solve everything". About patient dialogues with children

    When a child becomes seriously ill, the parents always become very involved in the care. But in a family where the parents have difficulty understanding Swedish, the child is often forced to handle a lot of the communication with heath care services.
